Today we were pleased to have Mr Holmes, Lucy’s dad, come in to share with us and talk to us about some of his steam engine collection. We learnt about thermal, chemical and electrical engineering and the importance of maintaining moving parts in machinery. A bonus was Mr Holmes harmonica playing. Thank you!

Our senior class joined forces with students from Croppa Creek, Boggabilla, Yelarbon, and Border Rivers schools for the Macintyre Rugby 7's day in Goondiwindi and did an incredible job! They adapted quickly to new teams and many transferred their skills to a new football code, as well as participating in a skills development day. Huge shoutout to the Under 10s, who finished 2nd in the competition! Thank you to Coaches Baker and Siddons for guiding the teams so well.

Book Week 2026 - Symphony of Stories!

A huge thank you to our wonderful students and families from Yetman PS and Tharawonga Mobile Preschool for bringing costume visions to life and helping make Book Week 2026 so memorable! Well done to our students for their commitment and passion for reading. We love seeing how much you enjoy being transported to other worlds through stories.

Science with Bonshaw Public School

Matt from Thalgarrah Environmental Education Centre and our super DEL, Mr Reeves, led an engaging, hands-on day filled with fantastic science activities. While students explored and discovered, our dedicated teachers dove into professional learning to keep growing and inspiring.

Those brave enough finished the day with a friendly lick from Puff, the blue tongue lizard! 🦎

Outstanding Achievements at the Goondiwindi Eisteddfod!

We are incredibly proud to share that our students recently took part in the Goondiwindi Eisteddfod for the very first time. With courage and confidence, they performed “Benjamin Bandicoot” in the bush poetry section, impressing the judges with their expressive reading and winning first place. It takes a lot of bravery to stand up and perform in front of a crowd, and our students certainly rose to the challenge.

They also showcased their musical talents in the small schools choir, delivering a beautiful rendition of “Mother Mountain” and taking out first place in that category as well. Both achievements are a testament to their dedication, teamwork, and countless hours of practice at school and at home.

Congratulations to all our students for their wonderful performances and for showing such courage and commitment on stage!
