Working outdoors on the water and island every day means sun safety is a no-brainer. Our team is proudly sporting our new sun-safe shirts and wide-brim hats — staying protected while looking sharp on the job.

Our matching gear supports workplace health and safety and helps students and visitors easily recognise us, while also building a strong team vibe.

Today we had Charles from Central Queensland University visit to chat with our staff and P&C about our Seagrow nursery and the exciting work happening along our coastline.

Our nursery is trialling different seagrass species and preparing for a Considine Beach transplant next week. We’re also collecting seeds from multiple locations to boost genetic diversity, helping restored meadows become stronger, more resilient, and better able to adapt to changing conditions.

A great step forward for our partnership with Central Queensland University and our marine environment! 💚🌊

Shoutout to our local Yeppoon for their incredible support and donations. Together with our amazing P&C, they visited the centre this week and very kindly donated their time and some resources.
This will surely add value to the student's time whilst on Konomie and support our beautiful grounds. 🌿

We have 10 x Merida mountain bikes for sale by tender. 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♂️

There are 6 red ones and 4 black ones being sold in individual lots. Bikes are currently on the island so will be sold sight unseen.
