Our fortnightly parades allow us to recognise those students who come to school every single day and display our expectation of being Safe, Respectful Learners. The Superhero Award is a peer voted award - which means not only have the staff observed these qualities but so have students.

💛 R U OK Day – TUESDAY 💛
On Tuesday, we will be recognising R U OK Day. We encourage all students to wear yellow to school to show their support and help raise awareness about the importance of checking in with those around us. 💛
A simple question like “R U OK” can start a meaningful conversation and make a real difference.
We will come together as a school community to promote kindness and wellbeing through fun, sharing and connection. 💛
The P & C have a meal deal to support this initiative that is being held on Thursday 10th- please see their page, Yeppoon State School Parents & Citizens for further details.

4/5M have been busy in Science growing mould from their investigation setup. They have been monitoring the mould, recording the mould colours and looking at the adundance of growth. Future scientists in the making!

💙 Father’s Day Stall is coming

Our YSS P&C Father’s Day Stall is back on Thursday 3 September.

The kids will get the chance to do a little shopping of their own for Dad, Grandad, Step-Dad, Uncle, Carer or another special person in their life.

The final Term 3 Gala Day was held on Friday- and what a wonderful day it was! Congratulations to all teams who competed in soccer, touch football and t-ball. You all did YSS proud. Thank you also to the staff and parents who supported our teams on the day. Here are some of the highlights.

Congratulations to our girl's soccer team who took out the trophy at last Friday's Gala Day. The final score was 5-1, beating the Emu Park SS team- after already playing 5 matches to get into the final. Congratulations girls!
