Mayor Lisa Matthews

It is an honour and a privilege to be the Mayor of the Central Coast and the opportunity to be a leader in the community I love.

In my time as Mayor, I will be looking with particular focus at ensuring that all of the community wherever they live on the Coast have the same access to great services and facilities. This year we are delivering a $236 million capital works program that will be used to upgrade roads, playgrounds, sporting facilities, water infrastructure - all the things our community want and need.

I am a tremendous advocate for local government, particularly as the closest level of government to the people. Our Councillors, and me as Mayor should be responsive to your views and give the utmost serious consideration to your concerns. And that is what I intend to do.

I love living on the Central Coast. It is the place I have raised my family, been a community worker and run a small business. I have more than 19 years of experience in local government, and I have the passion to drive a strong contribution to our growing region over the next year, hand in hand with our community on the Coast. I will look to ensure that as we strive to deliver sustainable development and great facilities and services right across the region. No one will be left behind.
