Deputy Mayor Kristianne Foreman - City of Tea Tree Gully

Deputy Mayor Kristianne Foreman - City of Tea Tree Gully Councillor for Hillcott Ward, City of Tea Tree Gully I have been an active community member ever since.

I am a local who has lived in Wynn Vale since 1997 when my family moved here after my husband left the Army. Our area is lovely and welcoming - I want to keep it that way as much as possible.

Congratulations to the Tea Tree Gully’s Country Women’s Association on their 70th Birthday!

What an achievement! And it was lovely to meet CWA State President Rebecca Maund.

Thanks to Colleen and Cheryl for making it so special for everyone. Thanks to Linda for organising it.

And I discovered why my scones don’t do well - don’t use a rolling pin!

Thank you to everyone who made the City of Tea Tree Gully’s International Women’s Day such a great experience!

Guest speaker Erin Phillips spoke about her career and how her greatest growth came from challenges, Ali Clarke spoke humourously about her health challenges and Theresa Brown from Play It On spoke about assisting young people to play sport with subsidised fees and equipment.

Play It On has their shop at shop 8, 560 North East Road, Holden Hill, and accepts donations of sporting goods in good condition.

The City of Tea Tree Gully Hillcott Ward Neighbourhood Chat happened this morning with the Lions Club of Tea Tree Gully doing the sausage sizzle and coffee by Roving Cafe. - with the best iced lattes I’ve had yet!

Congratulations to the Lions Club of Tea Tree Gully for a successful launch of The Gully Arts Show tonight at the Tea Tree Library.

Lots of very creative entries but my favourite - and Cr Irena Zagladov - City of Tea Tree Gully, Balmoral Ward’s too - was the Alice and Friends ceramic piece made by Kirsty Couzner.

Adelaide is so small - I knew Kirsty and her daughter Skye from Governing Council at Golden Grove High School!

This is a good outcome for the safety of students, families and commuters using that part of Wynn Vale Drive!

Still remember to take care and drive safely around students and families using the pedestrian crossing - and be considerate of local residents if you park near the schools.

Blair Boyer MP has been a keen supporter and advocate of keeping Maxlay Reserve a green open space for our community for a long time!

Maxlay Reserve in Modbury Heights will be home to an upgraded green space under a re-elected Malinauskas Labor Government.

Our $490,000 commitment will help deliver:
🐶 A large breed, small breed, and one-at-a-time dog park (for anxious and reactive dogs).
🌳 Planting of new trees and a grassed area.
🛝 A brand-new playground.

The local community advocated to keep Maxlay Reserve as a green space for community use, and we’ve listened.

Thank you also to TTG councillors Kristianne Foreman and Sandy Keane for their strong advocacy.

Tonight I attended the GPS Forum hosted by Olivia Savvas MP with other Councillors and with the CEO Ryan McMahon. This is a very important issue in our community.

As well as representatives from different goverment agencies, the Minister and the Premier attended . He discussed the funding already committed to the GPS and an election commitment for Elliston Reserve based upon the masterplan recently endorsed by Council.

Residents had the chance to ask questions during and after the meeting ranging from costings, black cockatoos, dust and water run off concerns.

One resident spoke to me and Ryan about having better communication on the home page of the CTTG website with links to updated information - Ryan will be looking into that.
