🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ Get ready, parents and athletes! Our Zone Athletics Championship is happening this Friday! 🌟
Make sure your young champions are prepared to give their best on the track and field. It's an exciting opportunity to shine, compete, and celebrate sportsmanship.

📅 Date: Friday 11th September
📍 Location: Mingara Regional Athletics Centre

To help you prepare, the official program for the day can be found in the link in the comments below ⬇️

Please take the time to look through the event program thoroughly and ensure athletes are ready for their events. Being prepared helps everything run smoothly and ensures our athletes have the best experience possible.

🔻The first track event, 1500m, will begin at 8:00am. This event will be marshalled at 7:45am.
🔻First rotation of field events will begin at 8:30am, with the marshalling call at 8:15am.
🔻Please allow additional travel time (approx 15 mins) for traffic and parking, which can be quite congested in the morning in particular. Events will not be delayed because of late arrival or traffic
issues.
🔻 Ensure students are sitting with their school group and check in with their school team manager upon arrival.
🔻 If at any point your child is marshalled for both a track event AND a field event, please ensure that they check in with field event marshall first, then go to the track event. Once they have finished their track event, they MUST return to their field event or risk disqualification. A clash manager official will be available to assist.
🔻 The canteen will be operating on the day.
🔻 SCCPSSA souvenir apparel will be available to purchase on the day, with the store opening at 8:00am and accepts cash and card.

📢 Ensure students are listening to announcements throughout the day to be ready for their event.

If you have any issues or questions about the day, please go directly to your school’s team manager, who will be able to help you, or they will then be able to approach an official for assistance if required. We ask that parents & carers do not approach the officials inside the track whilst they are officiating events.

We are very excited for our last major championship for the year and can’t wait to see all of our students doing what they love! 🏃🏃‍♀️

Her passion, leadership and commitment to our students, staff and community shine through in everything she does. We feel incredibly lucky to have such an inspiring woman leading our school.
