🌟 P6A Open Morning ✨

Last Wednesday, we had the pleasure of welcoming the families of our P6A students into our school for our P6A Open Morning.

Families had the opportunity to see our students’ morning routines and learning in action, followed by a lovely morning tea and time to connect, chat and play together. 💛
A big thank you to Miss C for leading the learning in P6A, alongside our amazing TA team — Miss Karen, Ratchada and Rosemary. Your care and support for our students is greatly appreciated.

We absolutely love seeing our families in the school and being part of our students’ learning journey. Please always feel welcome to pop in, ask questions or connect with our team. We value the strong partnerships we have with our P6A families. 🌈

What a wonderful morning we shared last Wednesday with the Try for 5 team!

Our day started with the smell of sausages cooking as students came through the gates, with the Try for 5 team serving up a special breakfast and plenty of smiles to welcome everyone to school. 🌭

The team then visited 4C, 6C, 3C and 1B to chat with our students about their “Future Me” – who they hope to be, what they dream of doing and, importantly, how coming to school every day can help them take steps towards those dreams.

We heard dreams of becoming mechanics, NASA engineers, vets, fashion designers, police officers, firefighters, football players and even a Mum.

A huge thank you to the Try for 5 team for inspiring our students, and to our wonderful tuckshop team for their help when things didn’t go to plan. 💙

A friendly reminder to our Woree State School families that Friday, 4 September 2026 is a Student Free Day.

🏫 There will be no classes for students on this day, as the school will be CLOSED.

It was wonderful to have Megan from Life Ed visit our school and work with all of our Year 2 students during HPE!

Megan taught our students some important lessons about how to keep their bodies safe, healthy and strong. 🌟

💰MONTY MONSTER FUNDRAISING CHAMPION! 💰

He has done it again! 🎉 A huge congratulations to Louis, who took out the Monty Monster Fundraising win for Week 7, raising an incredible $540! 👏

Thanks to Louis’ fantastic fundraising efforts, Prep C earned ice blocks once again - the perfect way to cool down after an amazing day celebrating Book Week!

Prep to Year 6 Families

We are excited to launch our inaugural Starting Strong Catch-Ups, running alongside our Pre-Prep Transition Days. These relaxed gatherings are open to all parents, carers, grandparents, and family members who play an important role in a child's learning journey.

The catch-ups provide an opportunity for families to connect with the school, build relationships with one another, and learn about local community services that can support children and families.

Topics include: Independence skills for starting school, Lunchbox ideas and practical nutrition tips, Routines that support learning, Family wellbeing and local support services.

Each catch-up will also feature a Woree Way Gallery Walk, showcasing top tips, ideas and encouragement shared by our teachers and current families.

Everyone is welcome. Whether your child is starting Prep next year or you're already part of the Woree State School community, we'd love to see you there.
