City of Wollongong The City of Wollongong is a Local Government Area (LGA) located on Dharawal Country.

It stretches from Helensburgh in the north, to Yallah and Windang in the south. We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which our city is built, the Aboriginal people of Dharawal Country. We recognise and appreciate their deep connection to this land, waters and the greater community. Wollongong City Council’s social media channels aims to inform, educate, and inspire our community. We encourage open discussion, and in order to create a positive and engaging environment for the community, we ask all users to treat each other with respect. The Kerryn McCann Athletics Track will be buzzing from 8am as students from Helensburgh to Eden compete for South Coast honours.
With athletes, families and supporters all on site, the area will be busy throughout the day. If you're travelling nearby, please leave a little extra time for your journey.
