The Look Listen Learn Expo held on Wednesday at Ryan's Lagoon by Duduroa Dhargal Aboriginal Corporation was a fantastic day on Country. Thanks to all the school groups that attended from Wodonga, Albury, Tallangatta and Rutherglen and thanks to all the exhibitors who kept the attendees thoroughly entertained and informed.

The North East CMA team love spotting platypus in our waterways. You may be surprised to learn that platypus live in your local creek.
But platypus numbers are declining across Australia and the species is now threatened in Victoria.
You can help protect them:
Visit platypusspot.org to find out if platypus live in your local creek and share your platypus sightings.
Take the Lead for Platypus! Leash your dog around waterways to keep everyone safe. Learn more: https://www.vic.waterwatch.org.au/project/take-the-lead-for-platypus-platypus-month-2026

Place shapes us and every catchment tells a different story.
Across Victoria, CMAs work with communities to protect and enhance the places we call home, turning local knowledge into local action.
Every catchment is different and so is every solution. That’s why your local CMA exists and is also part of something bigger.
Our latest Snapshot highlights the impact of Victoria’s ten CMAs delivering local, place-based action over the past year.
