⚠️ An initial Flood Watch for the Hunter and parts of the Mid North Coast has been issued.

From overnight Thursday into Friday, minor flooding is possible along the Paterson and Williams Rivers.

Minor flooding is possible along the Manning and Gloucester, Goulburn and Hunter Rivers and Wollombi Brook from Friday.

🛑 Steer clear of floodwaters. If you come across a flooded road, turn around and find an alternative route.

Although we’ve seen some rain in recent days, conditions remain dry, particularly in the western parts of the state. Firefighters have been kept busy responding to a number of fires, several of which were caused by escaped burns.

While the Bush Fire Danger Period is no longer in place for all LGAs across NSW, we urge residents and land managers to check conditions before lighting a burn and remember that you are required to notify the RFS and your neighbours at least 24 hours before burning.

Wallaby Joe Rural Fire Brigade is holding our Annual General Meeting on Tuesday 28th of April and we will have the position of Secretary become vacant.
We are calling out to our local community to see if anyone would be interested in joining our brigade as a member in a non operational role as Secretary.
No qualifications are required, just an understanding of a Secretarial role.
