Williamstown Horse and Pony Club WHPC is a hardworking club which allows riders to further their knowledge and riding ability We have a
complete
grade 5, 4, 3 and 2 cross country course.

Williamstown Horse and Pony Club, previously Torrens Valley Pony Club is located at Gower Reserve on Williamstown Rd next to the CFS station. We offer the full range of Pony Club disciplines with two surfaced arenas and a show-jumping arena. The Club's aim is to provide excellent instruction to give our riders a solid foundation to succeed in their riding careers.

4 of our members travelled all the way to Wilmington over the weekend for their ODE! Congratulations to Shylee, Holly, Jarrah and Tamzyn for representing the club and bringing home some ribbons! It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our dear friend and long-time club member, Peter Wilton.

Pete was an incredible horseman whose dedication to the Williamstown Horse & Pony Club spanned many years. He was the driving force behind our cross-country course, spending countless hours designing, building, maintaining and improving it so that generations of riders could learn, challenge themselves and enjoy the sport safely.

Pete was a wonderful teacher and mentor, always willing to share his knowledge and encourage our young riders to reach their full potential. His patience, kindness and passion for horses left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of learning from him.

He was always smiling, always lending a hand, and if something needed fixing, filing or tinkering with, Pete was never far away. His generosity with his time and expertise helped shape our club into what it is today.

Pete's contribution to Williamstown Horse & Pony Club has been so significant that we proudly honour his legacy each year through the Peter Wilton Perpetual Award for members excelling in their volunteer duties, ensuring his impact will continue to be remembered by future generations.

Our thoughts are with Pete's family and loved ones during this difficult time. He will be deeply missed by our entire pony club community, but his legacy will live on in every rider he inspired and every fence on the cross-country course that reflects his passion and dedication.

For those wishing to pay their respects, Pete's funeral will be held on Monday, 6 July, at 10:00 am at Taylor & Forgie, Cowan Street.

Rest easy, Pete. Thank you for everything you gave to our club. You will never be forgotten. 💙
