Our Story
We are a not-for-profit organization set up in 1983 to provide seniors with the opportunity to walk around the Perth metropolitan area. The location of the walks is around lakes, beside rivers, along coastal beaches and through parks. Meeting every Tuesday, from March to November, arrive at 10.00am with walking commencing at 10.30. Walking is at your own pace and as far as you like. Walks are between 4-8Kms, but you walk as far as you feel comfortable with. Trained first aiders are available to offer any assistance that is required. Following the walk many stay behind and enjoy their picnic lunches with fellow walkers.
Membership is around 250 with an annual fee of $10.00. We hold a mid year and end of year lunch at a restaurant, also sausage sizzles, potato bakes, and an annual getaway to a country region. Some are subsidized for members.
