Some of the Gawler crew caught up with the Deputy Mayor Isaac Solomon - Town of Gawler at the WoW Day celebrations at SASES HQ tonight who was there showing support and acknowledging the efforts of all the SES volunteers 🧡

Happy Wear Orange Wednesday to all of our SES Volunteers! 🧡🆘🦺🚨🧡

A special thank you to our Gawler SES Unit who dedicate themselves to keeping our community safe.

As well as thanking our local volunteers it’s also important that we recognise the sacrifices they make daily and both the physical and emotional toll performing their duties can take.

It might be grey outside, but that doesn’t mean your outfit has to look like the weather forecast!

🧡Today is Wear orange Wednesday – WoW day!

So brighten things up with a splash of orange — whether it’s wearing a bold beanie, funky socks, rocking a traffic cone or some hi-vis.🦺 Not only will you stand out on a gloomy day, but you’ll also be showing your support for our SES volunteers — the everyday legends who give up their time to help communities with emergencies in rain, hail, shine or grey! 🌧🌬⛈️☀️

Thanks to James Agness MP for hosting us along with Dalkeith Country Fire Service at Parliament House tonight.

We appreciate you, and the Minister for Emergency Services, Rhiannon Pearce MP for taking the time to recognise the efforts and commitment of our volunteers to their local communities.

When our community faces tough times, this group of people is the first to run towards danger, to protect us.

Our firefighters and emergency service personnel deserve thanks every day, but I wanted to especially thank them with a reception at Parliament this week.

Thank you to Emergency Services Minister Rhiannon Pearce MP for joining me in thanking these hard working volunteers, as we marked St Florians Day - International Firefighters' Day.
