Maribyrnong City Council has introduced a series of renewable energy workshops for 2023. The series of ten workshops will be held throughout the year and cover topics including all-electric homes, solar and batteries, energy efficiency, buying green power, electric vehicles and more!

It’s important for our community to have open space close to home

Join the council meeting this wednesday and support McIvor reserve

Here's the agenda for the Special Council Meeting to consider the McIvor Reserve Master Plan. We're anticipating a lot of questions from the community. So, if you're planning on sending in a public question, please send it in via the usual channel by 2pm on the 29th so that Council officers have time to prepare a response.

We’ve got some exciting news! And we need the community’s help 😀

Today our club met with Council to discuss a roadmap for renovating/rebuilding the historic Trugo pavilion. We’re *finally* beginning a meaningful discussion about the future of this local landmark.

We hope to retain the historic integrity of the building, while also creating new spaces for local groups and community members to gather.

And here’s where we would love your input... we want to connect with local Footscray & Seddon community organisations who can help us reimagine what a rebuilt pavilion might look like.

This is the first stage of the process... working out what locals want and need. We are super-keen to gather as much input as we can from local groups as to what this space could mean for us all... a place to meet, celebrate, gather... and more.

If your group would like to be involved in the conversation, please DM us with your details! The more input, the better!

(If you’re not involved in a community group, we still welcome your feedback. You can DM us or leave a comment on this post. And there will definitely be more consultation as the process goes on.)
