Nobody enjoys standing in the rain or extreme heat waiting for a bus. Yet for hundreds of bus stops across Wyndham, that's still the reality.

As part of our A Way Forward for Wyndham advocacy campaign, we're calling on all State Election candidates and parties to commit to:

✅ More bus shelters across Wyndham
✅ New and expanded bus routes in growth areas
✅ More frequent services on existing routes

Wyndham has more than 900 bus stops, yet only around 200 have shelters. For students, older residents, parents with prams and people with mobility challenges, that's more than an inconvenience, it's an accessibility and safety issue.

Our growing community deserves a public transport network that is reliable, accessible and fit for the future.

A quick update on your bin collections️

As Wyndham continues to grow, we’re making some changes to bin collection routes to help make our waste collection service more efficient, sustainable and reliable for our community.

For some households, this will mean a new bin collection day or a different week for recycling and green waste.

These changes will help create more consistent collection routes, reduce unnecessary travel and fuel use, and ensure our service can continue to meet the needs of our growing community.

Not sure if your collection day is changing?

Council will contact affected households directly by letter, or you can check your address on the Wyndham City website.

One of Wyndham's most important historic landmarks deserves better than being boarded up.

The Point Cook Homestead has been part of our region's story for almost 170 years, but after years of challenges and recent vandalism damage, its future remains uncertain.

That's why, as part of our A Way Forward for Wyndham campaign, we’re calling on all parties and candidates to commit $8 million to repair, redevelop and reactivate the Point Cook Homestead Precinct.

Our residents are sick of being stuck in traffic. We need better transport connections.

As Wyndham continues to grow, our community has made it clear that growth shouldn't come at the cost of liveability. That's why Council is doing its part, with $60.5 million in funding for roads and footpaths as part of the 2026/27 budget.

As part of our A Way Forward for Wyndham advocacy campaign, we're calling on all parties and candidates in the upcoming state election to commit to $85 million in funding for the next stage of the Wyndham Ring Road, matching the Federal Government's existing commitment.

This vital project will improve connections between Wyndham West and Wyndham North, reduce congestion on local roads and support our rapidly growing community for years to come.

Save the date Wyndham!

I’m delighted to share that Wyndham City’s free Children’s Week Picnic will return to the beautiful surrounds of Werribee Park on Sunday 25 October.

There’s something special about seeing our community come together, families enjoying time outdoors and children simply having fun.

This is always such a joyful day on the Wyndham calendar, and I’m looking forward to welcoming everyone back again this year.

Keep an eye out for the free ticket release in October at www.wyndham.vic.gov.au/childrensweekpicnic

Community sport brings people together, but too often netball matches and training are disrupted by extreme heat, rain and other weather conditions.

As part of our A Way Forward for Wyndham advocacy campaign, we're calling on all parties and candidates in the upcoming state election to commit to funding canopy covers at the outdoor netball courts at Eagle Stadium and Mossfiel Reserve. This will create safer, more comfortable facilities for players, officials and spectators all year round.
