Wyndham City Youth Services is proud to announce Kaavya Kapoor as the One Wyndham recipient for August. A passionate young leader, Kaavya is Vice Captain of her local high school, a dedicated volunteer, and an active member of the St John Ambulance Youth Program. She recently earned a place in the Kwong Lee Dow Young Scholars Program at the University of Melbourne in recognition of her academic excellence, leadership and community involvement. From volunteering at local temples to supporting community projects such as park clean-ups and fundraising for a public drinking bubbler, Kaavya is making a real difference in Wyndham. Please join us in welcoming the 2026 Youth Civic Participation Project crew! 🎉

YCPP selects a team of passionate young people interested in leadership, advocacy, government or related fields and takes them behind the curtains to see the inner workings of local, state and federal government.

Say hello to this year’s group of passionate young people, ready to learn, lead and make a difference in Wyndham!

Over the coming months, they’ll:
🏛️ Meet with local Councillors and community leaders
💬 Learn how local government works
🤝 Build leadership and advocacy skills
🌏 Explore how they can create positive change in our community

Wyndham City Youth Services is proud to announce Bradley Khoo as the One Wyndham recipient for July. Bradley is passionate about volunteering and takes a lead role both at school and within the community. He actively participates in the Country Fire Victoria (CFA) Junior Brigade and contributes to fundraising and fire prevention education awareness. At school, Bradley is a diligent student and is a member of the SRC, School Representative Council and an Arts Ambassador. Bradley models the motto “service above self and is on the Interact Club committee and assists with fundraising for local charities, National Disability Week and sustainability projects. ⚽️🏆 Thank you to everyone who came through for the Refugee Week Wyndham World Cup 🏆⚽️

This year brought together 23 teams of young players aged 12-25, representing over 20 cultural backgrounds.

The 2026 theme was A Million Stories, marking one million permanent humanitarian visas issued since 1947.

Congratulations to the winners and to all young people who participated!

Wyndham City Youth Services is proud to announce Holly Kiefer as the One Wyndham recipient for June. Holly is a passionate leader and empowers young people through building their confidence and ensures young voices are heard, valued and celebrated. Holly has made a positive impact over the last eight years, volunteering on the Amplify’s Paradox Committee, delivering inclusive live music events for young people. She also volunteers at a local animal shelter, caring for abandoned animals.
