At 11:10 am, RP57 was called to Animal rescue in Guildford West. It was discovered that a Blue and Gold Macaw by the name of Joker had escaped from its owner and was resting in a tree some distance from its home.
was requested to assist. Once setup and the cage positioned, the firefighters and the owner were able to coax Joker with food close enough that they were able to safely capture and lower her to the ground safely for the much relieved owner and her partner "beard"

This is Jozeph from Wallalong NSW. Jozeph was heartbroken when his visit to Fire and Rescue NSW Station 382 Morpeth was met with a closed door.

Jozeph’s Great Grandfather sent us this photo and we’re sorting out a tour in due course.

Crews from D platoon were kept busy yesterday morning at a car fire under a 3 storey residential building. They crews worked with Fire and Rescue NSW Station 072 Merrylands
Fire and Rescue NSW Station 055 Guildford Fire Station Fire and Rescue NSW Station 019 Silverwater Fire and Rescue NSW Station 027 Parramatta
Special mention to the ladder platform crew from Parramatta who rescued a young girl and her father from a 3rd storey balcony at the rear of the premises using an extension ladder.
