🏉 TOUCH FOOTBALL GALA DAY 🏉

Today, Wenty students hit the fields at Warrimoo Oval for a fantastic Touch Football Gala Day! 🙌

We had a Stage 3 boys’ team, a Stage 3 girls’ team and two Stage 2 teams representing Wenty — and all four teams played with great skill, sportsmanship and teamwork throughout the day. 💪👏

It was fantastic once again to see Wenty flying the flag for the Upper Mountains primary schools and showing what our students can do! 💙

A huge thank you to all the parents who transported our players, cheered them on and supported the teams throughout the day. Your support is greatly appreciated! 👏😊

Stage 2 enjoyed a wonderful excursion to The Museum of Sydney and Hyde Park Barracks last Wednesday. They got a small taste of what it might have been like to live as a convict in Australia. Students had an excellent day and showed wonderful Wenty manners. I’m sure they appreciated their clean, comfy beds that they didn’t have to share with rats, like the convicts had to!

Our Wenty team represented with pride yesterday at the Blue Mountains zone athletics carnival. All students showed exemplary sportsmanship and tried their hearts out in all events. A HUGE shout out to Mr Evans and Mr Zammit who worked tirelessly to organise the carnival, ensuring that it ran seamlessly!

Local Cricket – JUNIOR CRICKET EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST 🏏

Leura Cricket Club is excited to announce that we are entering two junior teams in the NDCA competition this season and we are looking for a few more players to complete our squads!
🔴 UNDER 12s – 4 spots available
📅 DOB: 1/9/2014 – 31/8/2015
⚫ UNDER 11s – 4 spots available
📅 DOB: 1/9/2015 – 31/8/2016
Younger players who fall outside this date range are also welcome to register their interest.
💰 Registration: Approximately $160, including:
👕 Playing shirt
👖 Playing pants
🧢 Playing hat
🏏 Equipment will be available for players to use, so you don't need to have your own gear to get started.
📍 Games will be played on Saturday mornings, with venues ranging from Faulconbridge through to St Marys.

Younger players: Cricket NSW is currently planning an Under 10s and younger competition, expected to be played on midweek afternoons later in the year. If you have a younger child who is interested in cricket, please keep an eye out for more information!
