For SA History Month, we dived deep into our archives to pull out this throwback and a half.
This image, from the ๐๐ฆ๐ข๐ค๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ณโ๐ด ๐๐ฆ๐ด๐ฐ๐ถ๐ณ๐ค๐ฆ ๐๐ถ๐ช๐ฅ๐ฆ: ๐๐ท๐ฆ๐ณ๐บ๐ต๐ฉ๐ช๐ฏ๐จ ๐บ๐ฐ๐ถ ๐ฏ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฅ ๐ต๐ฐ ๐ต๐ฆ๐ข๐ค๐ฉ ๐ฐ๐ค๐ค๐ถ๐ฑ๐ข๐ต๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ข๐ญ ๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ข๐ญ๐ต๐ฉ ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐ด๐ข๐ง๐ฆ๐ต๐บ ๐ช๐ฏ ๐ด๐ค๐ฉ๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ญ๐ด circa 1998, capturing what was the hierarchy of controls in managing workplace risk.
While the method to control a hazard has become a lot more modernised and refined (not to mention, the style of graphics has become a lot more sophisticated than cartoons from the late 1990s), the message still holds strong today showing that the principles of work health and safety never go out of style.
