Happy International Women’s Day
On International Women’s Day, we acknowledge the women who stand beside us in many ways — as firefighters on the truck, as partners who support the callouts at all hours, and as mums and daughters balancing family life with the commitment to serve their community.
Volunteering with the CFS takes time, dedication and resilience, and the women in our brigade bring all of that and more. Whether responding to emergencies, supporting the team behind the scenes, or keeping families strong while others answer the pager, their contribution is invaluable.
To the women of The Region 2 Ops Brigade and the women who support what we do — thank you for the role you play in protecting our community.
And if you’ve ever thought about joining the CFS, we’d love to hear from you. Women play an important role in our brigade and there’s a place for people of all backgrounds and abilities who want to help protect their community.
Happy International Women’s Day
