Well done lily!!!

Over the last few weekends we had one of our members completing their boat operator training over at lake Lyell with many other units.

Lily completed training on multiple vessels and in a variety of conditions. Below is a small video of her completing the high speed course.

Having lily complete this course has not only help her develop new skills but is advantageous to the local and broader community by ensure our operators are always able to help you when you need it most.

Congrats to the paticipants that passed over the weekend and we here at Warren look forward to working with you in the field.

Does this look fun, interested in learning new skills. You can join our team too go to https://www.ses.nsw.gov.au/volunteer and hit the apply now button. There is a variety of roles to do in our team and we are always looking for extra hands, don’t delay apply today!

Monday Night Training!

Tonight, Members from Warren SES practiced their Skills in Storm and Water Damage.

The Training covered a wide range of skills, including the use of hand tools and power tools, how to build shoring to help support damaged structures, and what the inside of our walls should look like in our area. This has helped refresh some of our members' skills and has also taught our new members extra skills they will use in the field.

The photos show the construction processes used and some of the tools used tonight.

If this looks interesting, have a think about Volunteering today with NSW SES Warren Unit. https://www.ses.nsw.gov.au/volunteer

Warren Unit was activated at 02:16 this morning to a tree branch on Wambianna Road,

A member attended and upon arriving at scene found most of the tree had been cleaned up and pushed off the road with only some branches and chunks of log left on the road. Our member proceeded to clear the remaining large pieces of debris off the road. The photo below is after clean-up and caution is still advised for the area as some smaller pieces of debris may still be present on road edges.

This is just a friendly reminder that trees may drop limbs at anytime especially when termite damaged, be careful when driving rural roads at night.
