Sonshine Toy Library - Warragul Sonshine Toy library is a volunteer run program which operates in Warragul from Monday to Thursday, 9am -12 noon.

Sonshine Toy Library is a community benefit organisation, where you come and socialise with other mums, dads and children as well as having the facilities of borrowing toys for a small annual membership fee. Please note that we are closed over school holidays and on public holidays (although toys may be retained for the holiday period). We offer a friendly and relaxing atmosphere where you can com

Sonshine Toy Library has a stock of over 2000 toys including games, puzzles, construction and manipulative toys, dress-ups, ride-ons, large outdoor equipment, DVDs and CDs, books, baby toys, as well as resources for parents. The winter school holidays begin this weekend. If you have toys due to be returned, please come in this week to swap them over.
We will be closed from Saturday 27 June through until Sunday 12 July. (You are very welcome to have toy loans over the holiday break!)

Friday is our access session.

A session with softer lighting, lower noise, and our Key Signs board out in the main play area. It is a session for those with SPD and other sensory needs to feel more comfortable to access toy library.

Every session (not just Fridays) we always have Sunflower lanyards available to members to use in toy library. These lanyards are a way to subtly signal to our Coordinator and volunteers that you or your child may need additional support while at toy library.

Sonshine Toy Library is proud to support the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower. Our staff and volunteers are trained to recognise the Sunflower and may ask what we can do to assist you.

Friday is our access session.

Sonshine has two new Chat and Play communication boards to help non-speaking children while visiting the toy library. One board combines simple pictures and words so that children can point and show what they want to say. The other board features Key Word Signs. Children can use the boards to ask for help, choose toys or say how they feel.

These boards have been produced in collaboration with Toy Libraries Australia, a number of toy libraries, and SCOPE Australia as a project of the Toy Libraries Australia Disability Access, Inclusion, and Support (DAIS) program, funded under the Australian Government’s Department of Social Services Information Linkages and Capacity Building program.

The boards will be in use every Friday during our access sessions.

Want to give a gift that won't create more clutter at home?

You can gift a toy library membership. For $70, your favourite little person will have access to over 2000 toys. They can choose five favourites to borrow each week.

On average, our toy library members borrow around $1860 worth of toys across the year.

And the best part - they go back to the toy library for cleaning and storage! Easy! 😄

WELCOME BACK for Term 2!

Sonshine Toy Library will be back open from 9am this morning, until 12pm. Tom will be in with his guitar for a sing-along session from 10:30.

Our regular sessions are;

Mondays 9am-12pm : Sing-a-long with Tom
Tuesdays 9am-12pm : Crafting
Wednesdays 9am-12pm : Coffee & colour-ins
Fridays 9am-12pm : Quiet Session
