Yarriambiack Shire Council are seeking Expressions of Interest for the sale of 10 trailers that are surplus to Council’s needs.

Interested parties are required to complete an Expression of Interest Submission Form, which is available for download on our website. An Expression of Interest may be lodged via email, in person, or post.

Expressions of Interest submissions close at 2.00pm on Thursday 16 July 2026.

Many homes have a range of partially filled chemical contains that may be long past their use by date or they simply do not know what they are. They may be hazardous chemicals. Never put hazardous household chemicals in your rubbish bin or pour them down the drain.

The most convenient way to safely dispose of your hazardous household chemicals at a Detox Your Home event. It is free and staffed by trained chemists.

The Detox Your Home event in our region will be held at the Horsham Transfer Station - 93 Kenny Road, Haven Vic 3401 on Saturday, 13 June 2026, from 8am to 10am.

Bookings are essential as there are limited paces.

Animal registrations for the current period were due 10 April 2026 and are now overdue.

All cats and dogs within the Shire were required to have their registration renewed by this date.

Infringements of up to $407 per animal are currently being prepared by Council for outstanding registrations. Please finalise any outstanding registrations ASAP to avoid receiving this fine.

If your animal is no longer in your care or you need to discuss paying your registration, please contact Council Offices and chat to our friendly staff #03 5398 0100.

Residents who have elected to pay their rates in instalments are advised that the 4th instalment was due on 1 June 2026.

Payment can be made at the Yarriambiack Shire Council Municipal Office in Warracknabeal, Australia Post Offices, Post Billpay, BPay, or by mail to Yarriambiack Shire Council - PO Box 243, Warracknabeal VIC 3393.

If you are experiencing difficulty paying your rates, please contact Council on 03 5398 0127 immediately to discuss more suitable methods of payment.

Upcoming Tree Works

Powercor has advised of the upcoming tree trimming works that will be conducted at the following locations:
🌳 Crymelon - King Road,
🌳 Cannum - Hancock Road,
🌳 Lubeck - Gellatlys Road,
🌳 Woomelang - Kellys Road.
The purpose of these works is for vegetation maintenance and will not affect power to households

🌳 Contracted tree trimming works and removal will be undertaken in the week commencing Monday 15 June 2026, around the Hopetoun and Woomelang townships.

🌳 Further contracted tree trimming works and removal will be undertaken in the week commencing Monday 22 June 2026, around the Minyip, Rupanyup, and Warracknabeal townships.

⚠ Please follow all safety signage and instructions around areas where these works are being conducted.
