Born and raised in Waroona, I am a passionate advocate for the community.

I grew up helping on the family farm whilst completing my schooling locally. I pursued tertiary education initially in medicine before realising my aptitude for business, strategy and governance and completing a Master of Business Administration. After working for the local IGA for a number of years, I secured a job for the Shire of Waroona in Community Development and then Governance and Compliance before moving onto other local government roles at other councils. This gave me a unique understanding of local government operations and community needs.

For over 20 years I have been involved in many local community groups, sporting clubs, special interest groups and Aboriginal corporations including Waroona Basketball Association, Waroona Community Resource Centre Inc., Waroona Show, Waroona District High School and Waroona Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Corporation and serve as a Justice of the Peace.

I believe a thriving council needs strong leadership and effective governance, focusing on community building, financial sustainability, adaptive strategic planning, strong people and culture, partnerships, credibility and trust.

I am running for Council to use my love of this community combined with my professional skills and experience in local government, business, strategic planning, project management and governance to give back to this special community.

I am interested in listening, learning and understanding community needs and goals to create a stronger future.
