1st June is the first day of winter — and Smoke Alarm Action Day.
Use it as your reminder to test your smoke alarms and make sure, they’re working properly.

It only takes a minute, and it could save your life. A working smoke alarm can halve the risk of death in a house fire and is one of the simplest ways to protect your home and family.

National Reconciliation Week

Today through to 3 June marks the start of National Reconciliation Week

National Reconciliation Week is a week for all Australians to reflect on our shared histories, cultures and achievements and learn about what each of us can do to support the national reconciliation effort. The dates commemorate two significant milestones in the reconciliation journey - anniversaries of the successful 1967 referendum and the High Court Mabo decision.

CFA is proud to recognise its indigenous members and all its members who have worked in their communities to promote cultural awareness and exchange of ideas with aboriginal communities.

Smoke Alarm

You can't smell smoke when you're asleep.

All smoke alarms in your home should be interconnected.

This means that no matter where a fire starts - all alarms will sound.
