Mount Donna Buang Mt Donna Buang overlooks the Yarra Valley north of the town of Warburton. It is a walking and snowplay destination.

TOBOGGAN HIRE
When there's snow, toboggan hire is usually available on the mountain from Terry's Trailer for $11. Otherwise in Warburton they can be hired from Snowview Petrol Station. If you're coming from the north

along the Acheron Way, Mystic Mountains Ski Hire & Outdoors at Narbethong has them for hire at $7 or to buy for $28.

From 1925 until the early 1950's Donna was a popular ski resort. It had accommodation, cafes, a ski hire, a huge ski jump and 6 runs cut through a forest of Myrtle Beech and Woollybutt. On peak days it had as many as 12,000 visitors. We could do with another administrator to help run this page, so if you like the mountain and know it well, please leave a message.

The shelter hut at 10 Mile was demolished on 16 May as the wooden posts supporting the roof were rotten and beginning to splay out, a secondary reason was the abuse it had received from vandals over many years.

Miserable conditions on Donna today, strong winds, heavy snow and fallen trees partly blocking the road. Tyre chains are probably needed. But if "the powers that be" clear the snow and trees off the road, Donna should be terrific on the weekend. :)

Well it was a big weekend on Donna. Despite all the snow, the toboggan runs are wearing a little thin with all the activity. This week it looks like finer weather with a slight snow melt, but still plenty of snow early in the week.
