โ›ต SOUTHERN OCEAN SAILING IS COMING TO WALPOLE!

After plenty of gentle encouragement (and maybe a few not-so-gentle requests! ), Mark has finally come in from sailing in Albany to answer my calls to bring Southern Ocean Sailing to Walpole!

We're looking at bringing Skippers Ticket training to town, making it easier for local people to gain this valuable qualification without having to travel.

If you'd be keen to complete your Skippers Ticket, please pop your name in the comments below so we can gauge interest.

Mark will be adding more information to this post soon, including what you'll need to do before the training day and what the course will involve.

Whether you're a keen fisher, boatie, or just want to build your confidence on the water, this is a fantastic opportunity right here in Walpole.

๐Ÿ‘‡ Interested? Let us know in the comments below!

Congratulations to Gary Muir on being named a winner in the WA Tiny Tourism Town Awards Local Legends category.

Anyone who knows Walpole already knows Gary is a true local legend through his incredible work with WOW Wilderness EcoCruises, sharing the beauty, stories and spirit of our region with visitors from all over the world. ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿšค

A huge congratulations also to Pemberton for bringing home Silver in the Tiny Tourism Town Awards, with Walpole proudly taking Bronze and Kalbarri entering the Hall of Fame with Gold. What an amazing result for regional Western Australia and proof that small towns really do make a big impact.

We are incredibly proud to see Walpole and our local tourism champions recognised on the state stage. Well done Gary now the whole of WA officially knows what weโ€™ve known all along!

Congratulations to Pemberton and the team behind the Pemberton Visitor Centre for bringing the Silver in the Western Australia Tiny Tourism Town award home last night in Carnarvon. ๐Ÿฅˆ

With Kalbarri making the hall of fame with their gold and Walpole winning the bronze, the Southern Forests showed the rest of the state that little can still be great!

Also a massive congratulations to Gary Muir for winning the Local Legends category - He didnโ€™t really need a gong for this as he already is! But now the State knows!
