Last night Wallarobba Rural Fire Brigade along with members from Bendolba-Salisbury Rural Fire Brigade, NSW RFS Dungog Brigade, NSW RFS Flat Tops Brigade, Clarence Town Rural Fire Brigade and Eccleston Brigade, met at Dungog NSW Fire & Rescue for a training exercise.
Captain Cass and her crew gave RFS volunteers a walk through of the NSWFR appliance to give an understanding of where the equipment is located and what that equipment is used for.
Captain Cass briefed crews on a Road Crash Rescue drill. We had the oportunity to work together to extricate a patient from a motor vehicle accident and a scene safety first briefing.
The evening ended with a BBQ and mingling of crews to discuss the evenings exercise. We shared our capabilities through emergency inter agency response. A great night was shared by all participants.

Today we have a burn on a cattle grazing property on Dungog Rd, Wallarobba.
The land holder has a permit.
Smoke will be visible in the area and may drift around the local community.

Not all fires are bad, with most farmers choosing to burn before it rains to regenerate growth to feed cattle through the summer months.

The property owner is in communication with the local brigade.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns
