🔥 DRILL NIGHTS 🔥

Our Walgett crew continues to build on their skills and knowledge through regular training to ensure we are ready to respond when our community needs us most.

🚒 With two drill nights each month, our crew has the opportunity to practise essential firefighting skills, work together as a team and maintain our operational readiness.

From practical firefighting scenarios to equipment familiarisation and ongoing skills development, regular drills are a vital part of what we do at Fire and Rescue NSW.

💪 Training together. Working together. Keeping our community safe.

Dhirrabuu Dhinawan Visits the Fire Station! 🚒
Today, Dhirrabuu Dhinawan stopped by the local fire station for a yarn with our dedicated firefighters and emergency service workers.
Just as firefighters work every day to protect our community from danger, EMUunisation helps protect our mob from preventable diseases. Prevention is one of the strongest tools we have to keep ourselves, our families, and our community safe and healthy.
Dhirrabuu Dhinawan enjoyed sharing the message that staying up to date with vaccinations is an important part of looking after one another. When we choose immunisation, we’re helping protect those who are most vulnerable, including our Elders, babies, and people with health conditions.
Dhirrabuu Dhinawan says:
“Firefighters help protect us from fires, and immunisation helps protect us from disease. Both are about keeping our community strong, safe, and ready for the future.”
A big thank you to our local fire station for taking the time to have a yarn and support the health and wellbeing of our community.
Health is Life is Health

Before the sun rises, we remember.
Our ranks have long been shaped by military service. Firefighters who served in the World Wars, and in the conflicts and humanitarian crises since. The skills, the discipline, and the Anzac spirit carry across. Many never returned. Their names, and their sacrifice, are part of who we are. It is a connection that runs between our service and theirs, and one that continues to this day.

Lest we forget.
