Ever wanted to join the Bush Fire Brigade?
New to town and want to get involved in the community? 👩‍🚒
We are always looking for new recruits!
Come down to the fire shed this Thursday the 15th @6:30 pm or @9:30 am Sunday the 25th of February, meet the crew and give it a go.
No experience necessary, just a can do attitude. 😀

When sirens sound, when I respond, when urgency is there, I ask O god, that you heed a firefighters prayer.

When I encounter any scene with smoke and flames in force,
Help me hear the faintest cry and then locate its source.

Help me to work efficiently, extinguishing the flames, protecting lives and property, regardless of their names.

Please keep me focused on my task,
And help me be brave, to give the very best in me to rescue and to save.

And should it be, through circumstance, my life you cannot spare, surround my family with your love and keep them in your care.

A huge shout out of appreciation to our amazing volunteers and their supporting families.
It was an absolutely amazing response to a call for assistance from our neighbours in Chapman Vally that saw hundreds of people from all over the midwest flood the Howatharra area to get stuck in and help out where they could.
A massive pat on the back to all involved, We are proud to help support such great community spirit and mateship.

After evacuating ahead of Sunday's fast moving bushfire north of Geraldton, Dean Williams is thankful his home was saved.
