Riverina Family Law Pathways had the pleasure of hosting Tough Tell Series.
The Tough Tells Series is a powerful initiative that uses short, emotionally resonant films to support children impacted by family breakdowns and domestic violence. With two poignant viewings "Mille" and "Tommy the Tiger" the series gives voice to the often-unspoken experiences of children navigating trauma, separation, and uncertainty.
Created under the vision and guidance of Darren Mort, founder of the To Be Loved Network, the series forms part of a broader mission to provide accessible, child-focused resources that foster healing and resilience. Darren’s unique combination of expertise in family law and the performing arts allows him to communicate complex emotional realities through engaging, age-appropriate storytelling.
The Tough Tells Series is further strengthened by the expertise of Vincent Papaleo, a Clinical Psychologist specialising in psychological services for children and families experiencing parental separation and conflict. A member of the Australian Psychological Association and the Board of Clinical Psychologists, Vincent brings over 30 years of experience in Family Law, with a professional focus on behaviour management, developmental perspectives in family law disputes, and alternative dispute resolution for high-conflict families.
By integrating these films into therapeutic, educational, and legal contexts, the Tough Tells Series serves as a vital tool for professionals working with children — helping them better understand and support young voices in crisis. At its heart, the series underscores the enduring importance of love, safety, and connection in a child’s journey through adversity.
