Thamarrurr Youth Indigenous Corporation, based in Wadeye, is doing powerful work to improve the lives of First Nations people from the Thamarrurr Region in the Northern Territory by identifying and working with young future leaders.

Merry Christmas from everyone at TYIC🎄🎄🎄It has been amazing year from our staff who have done incredible things. From running constant and consistent programs, keeping everyone engaged inside the community to leadership programs across the globe. We would like to thank our staff and everyone who has been involved to make what we do possible 💯

On that note. TYIC will be temporarily closed for the holidays and opened again on the 2nd of Jan in the new year. Hope to see everyone again soon and wishing everyone the best this holiday season 🎄🎁🎉

School Holiday Program is starting strong!!! Come on over these school holidays for some fun activities, food, and entertainment. The Youth Centre will be open Monday-Friday and our amazing staff have plenty of activities planned in and around Wadeye!!! Hope to see lots of action over the next few weeks 💯💯💯

After many notes of interest we have finally got in some shirts!!!! We are looking to trial selling Thamarrurr Youth t-shirts that would help our organisation through increased exposure and promotion. If you would like to support us in this project please respond to the poll if you would be interested in buying a captains t-shirt. Each shirt would cost 50$ and profits go to supporting our programs. This post is a test to see if there is interest in the product but not a confirmation of order.

Today was Meg’s last day with TYIC, and we just want to say a huge thank you for all your hard work, dedication, and commitment to the Wadeye community and Thamarrurr Youth Indigenous Corporation. Another member of our TYIC family we say farewell to is Ann. Her impact through amazing cooking and training at Dumu to seeing those cakes made up in wadeye ( A program she developed) is amazing.

Ann’s professionalism and dedication will be missed as well as her sense of humour and devotion to the organisation. We wish her every success for future endeavours and hope we will stay connected wherever possible.

Your impact will not be measured and remembered through the countless people whose lives you have changed and impacted in the most positive of ways.

As we draw a close on the Alpine program, we say goodbye to some of our amazing staff.

Simone has been with TYIC since early 2020 and has touched the lives of many participants as well as their families through her various roles over those years. We wish her and her family all the best and we will see her again soon. Simone has lived the job rather than just working it and we are extremely grateful for all her dedication and efforts that went above and beyond all expectations.
