Being proud of our senior girls’ PSSA soccer team is an understatement. Watching them play so well this year has been the perfect balance of providing an opportunity to play soccer (for those who don’t already), being part of a team sport, learning new skills, and staying active with their friends. This includes all the lunches and recesses they committed to, along with many other extracurricular activities they are involved in at school.
Unfortunately, we lost our Round 7 match 3-0 yesterday against Shell Cove PS, who were a fantastic side! It was wonderful to see our girls commit and put into practice everything they have worked on in training.
I’d like to give a special thanks to Mrs Coventry for being the coach, letting me assist in the training, and to our incredible parents who helped transport the team to the various matches—including a 4-hour trip each way to Pambula last round!

Thank you to our very own SASS superheroes at VPS!
It’s SASS Recognition Week and we are so incredibly lucky to have our SASS team here at VPS. They are all so dedicated, kind and thorough in their roles supporting students, staff and families. Their level of organisation, professionalism and support is second to none!!

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to the book fair and parade today, the weather gods thankfully cooperated and it was amazing to see all of the wonderful costumes on display that parents have worked so hard on. A big thanks to everyone who purchased books from the book fair, not only are you supporting your own child’s literacy development, but you also helped to raise $1200 worth of rewards points to be spent on new books for the school. 📚

Mrs Coventry has been working hard today setting everything up for the book fair tomorrow. Everything is ready to go for after the parade! Remember to bring your receipt number if you purchased a voucher online. 📚

We have two teams making their way to Wollongong on Sunday for the Tournament of Minds. This is is an International educational program 'challenging the world' to develop creative problem solving skills. Thank you to Mr Riguet and Mrs Cochrane for their time and guidance in helping our teams prepare for this exciting event.
