Hatzolah - Caring for the Community
Our primary goal is to provide a lifesaving bridge of medical care during the first critical moments of a medical emergency before the arrival of an Ambulance, whilst catering to the unique needs of the Jewish Community. We provide comfort to the patient and their family, and prevent additional injury or further deterioration of the patient's health. Since our
inception in June 2006, we have responded to over 6000 calls for help. Our calls cover the vast spectrum of medical emergencies from the severe trauma of road accidents, to falls and respiratory distress, and we have equally responded to day old infants and those past their 100th birthday. Hatzolah members are all equipped with life-saving medical equipment, including Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs), Oxygen and resuscitation devices, trauma management accessories, Epipens, Ventolin, Glucose and Penthrox. All Hatzolah members have the advanced training and skill necessary to provide competent medical and emergency care. Hatzolah members are all linked to a dispatch centre via a sophisticated two-way radio communication system, and stand ready to respond to all medical emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. We receive no official federal or state funding, and rely solely on donations from the community. All donations are tax deductible.
