Stop sticky traps now Creating a worldwide hub where we can get together to ban the manufacture and sale of sticky traps

19/06/2025

Sticky traps. Sold in Bunnings, cheap
Shops, supermarkets, corner stores everywhere in Australia and all over the world.

Once you go down this rabbit hole you start to see horrific incidents of animal torture, native wildlife deaths and even children hospitalised due to these sticky traps which most households think only capture spiders and cockroaches. WRONG!

If you’ve ever seen a mouse, a rat, a bat, a bird a cockroach or any living critter stuck on these pads your heart would break.

They die due to dehydration, starvation or injuries sustained from trying to escape. It’s the worst kind of death.

So why do we still readily sell these at stores? I offered to buy ALL of the sticky traps at my local cheap shop after a discussion with the worker as to why they still sold them. Turns out they were closed the next week but where would those traps go?

My idea here is to use the social media platform to connect rescue teams across the world who are exposed to these types of rescues due to sticky traps. Just type ‘sticky traps’ in search bar and you’ll be heartbroken to know how much damage these are causing. Not only to animals but to children and pets alike.

Im looking for statistics, records and incidents involving them, then can run it up the food chain to parliament.

I want to create a space here where local groups can connect to meet and discuss options to get them banned in your state or territory.

Power in the people has made significant changes in history. Let’s make sticky traps just that.
