Reconcilliation Week Activities.

Uralla Central School Primary students celebrated Reconciliation Week on Tuesday 2 June by decorating and enjoying their Iwata shaped biscuits. Thanks to Mrs Taylor and senior students who supported and helped our primary students in being creative with colours and decorating their Iwata shaped biscuits. Each year a specific theme is celebrated for Reconciliation, between 27 May to 3 June. The theme for 2026 is 'All In'.

Girls Open Touch Football Grand Final.

Our Open Girls played in the North West Open Girls Touch Grand final on Wednesday against Glen Innes. We started well with our set play Pencils putting Captain Brydie Williams over to open the scoring. Glen Innes control became the difference in the first half and they had streaked out to a 4-1 lead at the half. Our girls regrouped at half time and went out and attacked the game with some strong play. We clawed our way into the game in the second half with some excellent play scoring twice more, but Glen Innes proved the old adage of hold the ball win the game and with control ended up winning 5-3. Well done to all girls and a huge thanks to Dan from NSW Touch and Caden Carson from our local association for your refereeing. Our girls now focus on the Central Schools competition and we will host a Sydney east school for a home game in the round of 20 sometime early next term.

Goodbye Michelle.

Tomorrow our school community will farewell Michelle our wonderful, supportive and caring Student Support Officer. We thank Michelle for being such an important part of our team over the last five years. Her work, kindness and integrity have left a lasting mark at our school. She will be greatly missed and we are all wishing her the very best for what comes next for her.
