The Haynes Trust recently provided financial support to assist with the funeral expenses for a former member of the Royal Australian Armoured Corps. The member's spouse was reliant on the aged pension and the funds alleviated the financial stress during the period of bereavement. A family member said "The comradeship and fraternal bond that my father had with the Regiment meant everything to him and we are so extremely thankful for the assistance provided".

The Colonel John Haynes Trust provided a financial grant to assist the son of a former RAAC member get a head start with his apprenticeship as a vehicle mechanic. The funds were used to assist with the purchase of a mechanics tool kit and he has completed his first year at TAFE while being employed in an automotive business where he works on luxury and exotic sports cars.

The recipient was grateful to be among the inaugural financial grants in 2024 as it would have been a financial struggle to afford the tool kit on apprentice wages.
