On 7th February 2026, ACO Sydney had the honor of participating in the National Multicultural Festival (NMF) 2026 in Canberra. As one of Australia’s largest multicultural events, the festival brought together approximately 170 cultural groups and attracted over 400,000 visitors, celebrating the rich tapestry of cultural diversity and social cohesion. Our participation was a key part of Malaysia’s ongoing efforts to promote our national culture, agricultural heritage, and agrotourism, while strengthening people-to-people engagement within Australia’s vibrant multicultural landscape.

At our dedicated Malaysia booth—set up in collaboration with the High Commission of Malaysia and Tourism Malaysia—we showcased the best of Malaysian culture and agro-based products. It was an effective platform for agricultural promotion, allowing us to introduce the quality and diversity of Malaysian produce to a wide Australian audience. The team also engaged with the public to generate excitement for the upcoming Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture and Agrotourism (MAHA) Exhibition 2026. Thank you to everyone who stopped by!

On 6th February 2026, ACO Sydney had a great meeting with the Australian Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) in Canberra. It was a productive session focused on key market access topics and advancing our shared bilateral priorities, reinforcing the strong agricultural partnership between Malaysia and Australia.

Discussions also turned to exciting opportunities ahead, particularly the Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture and Agrotourism (MAHA) Exhibition 2026. We look forward to strengthening ties through this platform and warmly invite Australian exhibitors to participate, showcasing their expertise and innovations at one of the region’s premier agricultural events.

Dimaklumkan bahawa Kementerian Pertanian dan Keterjaminan Makanan (KPKM) melalui Pejabat Penasihat Pertanian (PPP) Sydney akan menyertai ekspo perdagangan antarabangsa Food Services Australia (FSA) 2026 bertempat di Sydney, Australia pada 25 hingga 27 Mei 2026. FSA merupakan pameran perdagangan terkemuka dalam bidang perkhidmatan makanan, hospitaliti dan peruncitan makanan yang akan diadakan di International Convention Centre (ICC) Sydney. Penganjuran FSA pada tahun-tahun sebelumnya telah berjaya menarik ribuan pengunjung perdagangan (trade visitors) dan mempamerkan inovasi terkini industri dari seluruh rantau Asia Pasifik, menjadi platform strategik untuk penerokaan pasaran Australia dan antarabangsa.

Oleh itu, FAMA ingin mempelawa usahawan PKS Agromakanan tempatan yang berminat untuk menyertai pameran tersebut bertujuan untuk menyediakan platform kepada usahawan Agromakanan Malaysia mempromosi produk dan membina jaringan perniagaan dengan pengimport berpotensi bagi meluaskan pasaran eksport ke pasaran Australia dan destinasi-destinasi eksport lain

The Agricultural Counsellor Office (ACO) Sydney, under the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security Malaysia (KPKM), alongside the Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA), successfully showcased Malaysian agrofood products at the Fine Food Australia exhibition from 2 to 5 September 2024.

The Taste of Malaysia pavilion, launched by Mr. Nik Muhammad Nasyron Syah bin Nik Daud, Consul General of Malaysia in Melbourne, featured five Malaysian companies and one local importer. A total of 83 new SKUs, including freeze-dried fruits, sambal, and durian-based food products, made their debut.

The exhibition recorded RM17.5 million in trade value, with potential growth of RM64 million over the next five years.
