On Saturday, 22 August, we joined our neighbouring brigades at the new Quinns Rocks Dunes Beach Resort for the City of Wanneroo Fire Services End of Season Awards Dinner.

It was a great night catching up with fellow brigade members and celebrating the commitment of our local fire service people.

A big congratulations to our members who were recognised on the night:

Each of these awards represents far more than the number of years on a certificate. Behind them are countless hours of training, callouts, community service, teamwork and commitment to the brigade.

A five-week month meant we got the bonus of an extra training night. 👨‍🚒

This week was all about knots and ladders. They're not something we use very often in the bushfire world, but they're still skills that are good to have in the toolbox. You never know what job you'll turn up to one day, so it's worth keeping on top of the basics.

Another great night with the crew, learning a few things and having a few laughs along the way.🔥

A big thank you to Two Rocks News & Post and Two Rocks IGA for letting us keep our donation tins on your counters. Our tin has been at the News & Post for a little while now, and if you haven't seen it yet, you'll now also find one at the front counter in IGA.

We'd also like to thank the team at Two Rocks News & Post for giving our fundraising chocolates a spot on the counter too. 🍫

To everyone who's dropped some spare change into one of our tins, picked up a chocolate, or simply supported us in any way – thank you. It might seem like a small gesture, but it all adds up and makes a real difference to our volunteer brigade.

We're incredibly lucky to have businesses that are so willing to support the community, and a community that's always willing to support us back. Thank you, everyone. ❤️

Sometimes the best training nights are the simple ones. 🔥

Tonight we took it back to basics with hose drills, refreshing the skills that every firefighter and the community relies on.

Something a little different for us tonight!

A huge thank you to DO Phil Hay from Department of Fire and Emergency Services WA and Mark from Yanchep Volunteer Fire and Rescue for coming out to our training night tonight and delivering a fantastic BA session.

We really appreciate your time to share your knowledge and experience with our members. It was a great night of learning, asking questions and getting some valuable hands-on practice.

Thanks again for your ongoing support—we're grateful to have such a great network of people to help keep our community safe👏🚒

As Wendy Noone gets ready to step down as Captain after five years in the role, we wanted to take a moment to recognise everything she has done for Two Rocks Bush Fire Brigade, the Community and our Families.

Over the past five years as Captain, Wendy has dedicated countless hours to the brigade, always putting the needs of the brigade and our community first. Through her leadership, hard work, commitment and care, she has helped shape the brigade into what it is today.

Wendy's impact reaches far beyond the Captain's seat. She has supported, encouraged, and inspired so many members along the way, and her contribution to the brigade will not be forgotten.

From all of us at Two Rocks Bush Fire Brigade, thank you, Wendy, for everything you have done and continue to do. We are incredibly grateful for your leadership, friendship, and dedication. 🔥
