Tweed Heads Fire Station is staffed by 4 full time, permanent Platoons each with a Station Officer & 4 Firefighters backed up by a crew of 18 Retained Firefighters (Paid On-Call). Attached to the station 468 Alpha, the permanently manned appliance (Truck), 468 Bravo, manned by the Retained Firefighters, 468 Hazmat, which deals with hazardous materials incidents & 468 Otter (Hazmat Boat) which is used for accessing incidents on the waterways.
