🖤💛❤️ National Reconciliation Week 2026 has begun, and this year’s theme, “All In,” invites everyone to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation each and every day. It’s a reminder that reconciliation isn’t a passive effort or something we can watch from the sidelines; real change happens when all of us step forward together.

✅ At Burnside Library, we proudly acknowledge that we are on Kaurna land and pay our respects to Kaurna people as the Traditional Custodians.

As we mark the start of this important week, we encourage our community to reflect, learn, and take action toward a more just and inclusive future.

Reconciliation will not happen without all of us being involved, and every small step matters. We welcome everyone to join in, be “all in,” and help build stronger relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

⭐ Type 2 diabetes is one of the fastest-growing health crises of our time. In Australia, more than 1.3 million people are living with diabetes – and 85 to 90 per cent of them have type 2. Globally, the number has soared past 530 million. Yet, for many, this condition is preventable – and, in some cases, reversible. Sarah Di Lorenzo’s new book gives readers the knowledge, structure and motivation to do exactly that.

Drawing on years of clinical experience and her trademark evidence-based approach, Sarah translates complex nutrition science into easy, actionable steps. She explains how certain foods trigger insulin resistance, how to balance blood sugar naturally, and which eating patterns promote long-term metabolic health. Backed by real results from her clients, she combines practical meal plans, simple recipes and lifestyle strategies that make change not only achievable, but sustainable.

✅ Whether you’ve just been diagnosed, have pre-diabetes, have high blood sugar, are overweight or simply want to futureproof your health, this is the book that puts you back in control. With warmth, authority and clarity, Sarah Di Lorenzo empowers readers to reclaim their energy, confidence and wellbeing – proving that high blood sugar and diabetes don’t have to define your life. Prevention starts with knowledge, and reversal begins with action – this book shows you how to do both.

📚 Presented in association with Matilda Bookshop who will be selling copies of The Blood Sugar Repair Plan at the event.
