Celebration Parades - Week 10
At our year level assemblies next week we will be taking the opportunity to celebrate the hard work and efforts of the more than 500 students who have met the criteria to receive a Pimlico Scholar Award across Years 7 to 11. Year 12 Pimlico Scholar Awards will be awarded at our Senior Awards Evening in term 4.
Students receiving a Pimlico Scholar Award must have received an A or B for effort and behaviour for all their subjects on their report card at the end of Semester One. This is a fantastic achievement and something to celebrate in our school community.
For the first time this year, we will also recognise a small number of students who have demonstrated significant personal growth in their schooling with a Pimlico Most Improved Award. Some students who will receive this award were already doing very well and have demonstrated a commitment to high performance and continuously looking for additional ways to improve. For others, we will be recognising a student who has worked hard to get their schooling back on track. This award is a way of drawing attention to improvement and personal growth and encouraging it amongst all students.
On this occasion, we are not inviting parents and caregivers to these celebration parades, however that is something we hope to do in the future.
