🏉🔥 BRUMBIES BRING IT AT THE 9s! 🔥🏉

Our Year 7/8 Brumbies Rugby League team put in a fantastic effort at the recent 9’s Rugby League competition, finishing the day with two wins, one draw and just one loss across four games.

The boys showed plenty of skill, teamwork and determination, producing some great tries, strong defence and plenty of Brumbies grit throughout the day. 💪

🔥 A huge shout-out to Tyse Cabrera, who crossed the line for an impressive FIVE tries across the competition!

🏆 A special congratulations also goes to Kolby, who was named our Man of the Match for the Schoolboy Cup and was rewarded with a signed Brisbane Broncos jersey for his outstanding performance!

Well done to all the boys involved — a great day of footy and another fantastic effort from our Brumbies! ❤️🏉

🐴💙 LEARNING BEYOND THE CLASSROOM | EQUINE THERAPY

Over the past six weeks, a group of Northern Beaches SHS students have had the wonderful opportunity to participate in an Equine Therapy program at Ranchlands.

Working alongside these majestic animals, students explored some incredibly valuable life skills — learning about trust, boundaries, patience, relationships and leadership. 🌿🐎

There is so much we can learn from the way horses respond, communicate and build trust, and it has been fantastic to see our students grow in confidence and connection throughout the program.

A huge thank you to the wonderful staff at Ranchlands — and, of course, their incredible four-legged teachers — for providing such a positive and meaningful experience for our students. 💙

🎸🔥 INTERSCHOOL BATTLE OF THE BANDS! 🔥🎸

Our Northern Rock Stars are ready to turn up the volume! 🤘🎶

On Saturday 19 September, they’ll take to the stage at the Denise Glasgow Performing Arts Centre at Pimlico State High School, rocking it out against bands from other schools at the Interschool Battle of the Bands! 🎤🥁🎸

We’re incredibly excited to see our talented musicians hit the stage and represent Northern Beaches SHS.

🌏 Volunteering in Action | Making a Difference 💛

A fantastic achievement from our Certificate I in Active Volunteering students, who have wrapped up their Birthing Kits Project in partnership with the Zonta Club of Townsville.

Over the past few weeks, our students worked alongside Zonta volunteers to assemble an incredible 200 complete birthing kits, as well as preparing a further 200 partial kits for completion.

These simple kits help provide women in vulnerable communities with the essential items needed for a cleaner and safer birth. It’s a powerful example of how volunteering, teamwork and a willingness to help can have an impact well beyond our school gates. 🌏

A huge thank you to the Zonta Club of Townsville for sharing this meaningful project with our students, and congratulations to our Cert I Active Volunteering students for embracing the opportunity and giving back. 👏💙
