The CityLibraries Townsville page exists to provide information on CityLibraries projects, initiatives and workshops to the community. It is used as an important tool for Townsville City Council to actively engage with the community, serving as a place for discussion, enquiries and an active exchange of ideas. The page moderators will respond to any enquiries about CityLibraries however we recommend you contact Council directly by phoning 13 48 10 for any other Council related enquiries – eg. Townsville City Council acknowledges the Wulgurukaba of Gurambilbarra and Yunbenun, Bindal, Gugu Badhun and Nywaigi as the Traditional Owners of this land. The CityLibraries Townsville page is maintained by the Libraries team at Townsville City Council. We support the Facebook Statement of Rights and Responsibilities (http://www.facebook.com/terms.php) and related Facebook policies, and we request that visitors to our group to do the same. Our team will respond to enquiries during the hours of 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday. The page will be monitored but not active outside of these hours. TCC welcomes honest, friendly and open conversation within our page. However, it is our responsibility and reserved right to remove public comments or discussion posts which stop this from happening. We also reserve the right to permanently remove users who are continually detrimental to others enjoyment of this. We welcome your comments and do not discriminate against any views. We encourage you to discuss and share opinions with others and Council via our page. In order to ensure our page is friendly and welcoming for all visitors, we do moderate where needed. We reserve the right to remove comments which:
• Are considered likely to disrupt, provoke, attack or offend others;
• Are racist, sexist, homophobic, sexually explicit, abusive or otherwise objectionable;
• Contain swear words or other language likely to offend;
• Could break the law or condone or encourage unlawful activity (this includes breach of
copyright, defamation and contempt of court);
• Are seen to impersonate someone else;
• Include contact details such as phone numbers, postal or email addresses;
• Describe or encourage activities which could endanger the safety or well-being of others;
• Are considered to be 'spam' (posts containing the same message posted multiple times);
• Are repeatedly off-topic for the discussion to which you are posting;
• Do not relate directly to Townsville City Council services, programs or enquiries;
• Are purely commercial in nature and promote a product or service which does not relate to Townsville City Council.
