Today, our Environmental Captain had the honour of serving fresh tossed salad to students at lunchtime! Using vegetables picked from our school garden by the Year 1/2 students, everyone created their own delicious “Build-a-Salad Bowl”. It was wonderful to see so many students coming back for seconds!

The learning continued in Visual Arts, where students created colourful tossed-salad artworks. They then collected data about the most popular vegetables and graphed their results during Digital Technologies.

What a fantastic day of healthy eating and learning across the curriculum!

Our little gardeners have been busy preparing a feast! 🌱🥗 Tomorrow, students are invited to enjoy a delicious fresh garden salad at lunchtime, made with produce grown right here at school. We can’t wait for everyone to have a taste!

A busy Day 2 of reflecting quietly in the rainforest and then building a shelter for us to enjoy some morning tea inside of.

We have just finished our first exploration of the rainforest. We walked down to Cloudy Creek and spent time sitting and walking around the rainforest to journal all of the magical things our senses experienced.

This term in HASS, our Year 4/5 students have been comparing Townsville and Jakarta, exploring similarities and differences in their climate, environments, landmarks, lifestyles and cultures.

Today, they chose a native Indonesian animal to research, completed a research report and created a colourful artwork exploring lines and colour.

Tomorrow, they’ll write persuasive letters to the Prime Minister, convincing him to allow their chosen animals into Australia!
