Over the past few posts, we’ve shared a range of resources to help Bohlevale families continue important conversations about online safety at home. 💙

To finish our series, we’re sharing an important resource from the eSafety Commissioner about Australia’s social media age restrictions.

📖 RESOURCE: Social Media Age Restrictions

Since 10 December 2025, certain social media platforms have been required to take reasonable steps to prevent Australians under 16 from creating or keeping accounts.

The eSafety Commissioner’s information for families explains what the restrictions mean, which platforms are affected, and how parents and carers can support children to navigate the online world safely.

As our series comes to an end, we encourage families to keep the conversations going. Ask questions, stay interested in what your child is doing online, explore their favourite apps and games together, and make sure they know they can always come to a trusted adult for help.
