A big thank you to Amy from for facilitating the day and helping us have some really valuable conversations about our practice and the way we support young people.

We’re looking forward to continuing the work together and building a framework that reflects the work we do at Sharehouse.

Thanks to the ATO Tax Help initiative, free Tax Help appointments are available every Thursday until 31 October at Sharehouse for young people aged 25 and under.

Spots are very limited, so get in quick to secure an appointment!

Eligibility includes:
• Earning around $70,000 or less per year
• Having a simple tax return

A huge thank you to Kate’s Campaign for Change for their amazing donation of baby items to Sharehouse! 🍼

We originally reached out looking for a bassinet for a young mum who had just welcomed her baby while experiencing homelessness — and we ended up receiving a whole heap of incredible items to support young families in our community. 🥹💛

From baby essentials to some very cute Cowboys merch (pictured 🤠💙), these donations will go a long way through our Mums & Bubs group, Dads & Lads, and to any young families who come to Sharehouse needing a little extra support.

We’re so grateful for the generosity of our Townsville community and the people who continue to show up for young people when they need it most. 🫶

🚨 Missing girl, Townsville 🚨
Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a 17-year-old girl who was reported missing from Rasmussen on Friday, 21 August.
The girl was last seen at an address in Rasmussen on August 13 and has not been seen or heard from since.
Police and family hold concerns for her welfare as her disappearance is out of character.
The girl is First Nations, approximately 175cm tall, with a slim build, brown eyes, and black hair.
Following investigations police believe she may be in the Townsville or Palm Island area.
Police are appealing to the girl or anyone with relevant information regarding her whereabouts to contact police.
Investigations are ongoing.

Yesterday our whole team took part in an inspiring training session with Andy from Breathe Australia focused on Wellbeing.🌱

The session explored how we can build focused, emotionally agile and highly connected teams — creating a culture of safety, wellbeing and greater performance.

A great opportunity to pause, reflect, learn and strengthen how we support ourselves and each other as a team. 💙
