Maclean Landcare Group was established in 2008. We are committed to the Protection of Native Remnant Forest & Culturally Significant Historical finds/areas on Lookout Hill in Maclean. We operate the Community Nursery at Townsend, where we are engaged in collection, propagation and sale of local native species. We are supported by the Clarence Valley Council, and by the Yaegl Community in the protection of Heritage sites.

We have a new Lomandra on the block .
Propagated from seed collected at Broomshead .
It's smaller than Longifolia and grows in a twisted , whorl pattern to about1/2 a metre.
We haven't been able to identify it so we are calling it Lomandra ?( unidentified)until further notice .
We have it for sale now so come in and grab one of these special ones .

National Volunteer Week and we pay tribute to the many incredible volunteers past and present of Maclean Landcare.
We solely operate by volunteers hard work and their commitment and contribution to our cause is inspiring.

Here are some super cute ideas for the special "mum " in your life this Sunday .
-A hand written voucher for 2 hours of gardening . Weeding , pruning , mowing the lawn ..
-Plant a special tree for Mum with Mum . We have so many gorgeous long lived native tress to choose from ranging from 2 metres to 30 !
-Buy a nice pot and fill it with native violet -Viola Hederacea ( yes we have lots)
-Plant a bush Tucker garden for Mum -start with a Midgin berry or some Pigface or even a Riberry and enjoy the fruits for years ahead ( we also have these!)
We can organise gift vouchers as well.
For the gifts that keep giving and very budget friendly . Plants are $2-50 each .
