Community consultation in the 2023 Torquay bus review called for a direct route linking Torquay and Armstrong Creek to Deakin Uni and Epworth. This route was ignored and today it takes 3x as long to travel to Deakin by bus than it does by car. This creates car dependency or excessive travel times for staff, students, visitors and patients at the uni and hospital. The Greens support better bus connections across our region to help you get to where you need to be, when you need to be there.

Another brilliant week of Greens campaigning across South West Victoria. From our trivia night in South Barwon with Izzy Scherrer for South Barwon to our campaign launch for South-West Coast with Silver Rose . We’re also getting posters distributed and letterboxing happening right across the region with Jesse Holden - Polwarth Emilie Flynn Theresa Slater - Greens Candidate for Lara . After years of inaction, and 100 days out from the election, Labor have finally acted to rezone the Spring Creek Valley. This is a win for power people power, the thousands of community members who have lobbied Labor and Liberal governments for decades.

From protecting our ocean, Corio Bay and climate from the gas industry, to protecting our rivers and wetlands from water extraction, urban development and duck shooting, the Greens will always stand with the community.
