1 June is the the first day of winter and Smoke Alarm Action Day.

Use it as your reminder to test your smoke alarms and make sure they’re working properly.

It only takes a minute, and it could save your life. A working smoke alarm can halve the risk of death in a house fire and is one of the simplest ways to protect your home and family.

TFB welcomes Ella and Crystal!!

They have both recently competed 3 months of training and undertaken their assessments. They are now General Fire Fighters!

We look forward to seeing them out on the truck supporting our community!

A very big thank you to Torquay Lions Club for the generous support to enable the bridge to purchase a new lawn mower!

Mowed over. The Torquay Fire Brigade had asked if we could help with the purchase of a mower. Lions came to the party, and they now have a new mower. Pictured with their Honda is Neil Grenfill, Lions Tricia and Bill, and Bec Allgood.

At the biennial AGM tonight a new Brigade Management team (BMT) was elected to assume office on 1 July 2026.

Congratulations to the new team and a big thank you those for the leadership and service for those not continuing.
